Ants from Central Europe for home ant farming
There are about 600 species of ants (Formicidae) in Europe. In our store, you can buy ants that aren’t protected and houses for their breeding (formicariums), arenas, food, and accessories.
Recommended ant species for building your ant farms with ants that come from Central Europe:
Lasius niger - one of the cheapest non-caste ants for beginners, so-called black ant.
Lasius flavus - a small black-colored Queen ant with yellow workers
Camponotus ligniperda - the largest ant in Poland but also in Europe. A beautiful large ant, slowly developing in its infancy.
Formica fusca - a large and tough ant that causes no problems in ant breeding.
Myrmica sp. - an ant recommended for breeders who want to have more than one queen (many queens in one colony)
