Small formicarias for raising ants at home
In our store you will also find small-size formicarias. Mini formicarias are made of plexiglass or 3D printing, while the large test tubes are made of glass.
A small colony of ants - a small formicarium should be chosen
One of the most common ant rasing mistake is placing a colony that is too small in a formicarium that is too large. Thanks to the mini formicarium, you can grow a colony to the required size and then transfer it to a larger container for ants.
In that case, I recommend: Mini Arena for feeding small colonies in test tubes
All of this can also be done in larger size glass tubes. We offer popular glass test tubes, which should be partially filled with water and tightly closed with a cotton wool plug. Then we feed the ants by putting the food inside the tube.
The most frequently purchased test tube for long-term ant keeping in a test tube is a glass test tube with a stopper for ant breeding.
The more specialized test tubes available at AntCenter are tubes with septum, they are convenient enough that we only irrigate the sand through the tube's spout.
