Description
All items are in the gift package- ready to be handed to the recipient.
This set consists of :
- colony of Messor barbarus ( queen + 10-20 workers)
- formicarium Green house
- as a gift we attach following items: natural sand, seeds for Messor barbarus and basic decor items and watering dish.
Green House - it is a formicarium for ants with decoration of moss :

Total dimension: 18 * 15 cm
Size of the arena: 18 * 7 cm
Size of the nest part: 18 * 8 cm
In one of the walls of the arena there is a plugged hole fi10 for connecting with additional arena in case if the colony have grown very much.
The cover of the house (arena) adheres closely to the side walls and is removable.
The material used to make the formarium is a plexa with a thickness of 5 mm, it does not bend when being raised.
Watering is throuth the hole in the nest- material used for watering is gypsum.
Nest of the formicarium can be easily disassembled to wash.
Other features:
In this formicarium can be settled species like Messor barbarus in amount of 15 to 250 ants.
Also in our formicarium (in the arena) you can put the test tube with ants. You will be not spilling the ants out of the test tube but you will let them calmly move to the nest.
A gypsum watering can (not some spongy or cotton) will give the ants the best access to water.
Advice:
For breeders leaving for vacation, we recommend to buy water in gel as it can be helpful.
We recommend You to read the instructions of use to avoid mistakes before letting the ants into the formicarium.
Formicarium can not be kept exposed on the sun or on the windowsill.
