Set for growing ants at home: Formicarium Spring House II with compartments with Harvester ants 

The set includes the following items:

1) Formicarium Spring House II - a spring house with a leaf pattern for ants:

External dimensions of the whole: 23 * 18 cm

Arena dimensions: 16.6*7 cm*7 cm

Size of nest part: 15.5*18cm

The height of the nest chambers is 10 mm.

In the side walls of the arena there are 2 blind holes fi 10 for connecting an additional arena in case the colony grows.

The roof of the house (arena) fit tightly to the side walls and is removable.

The material used to production of the formicarium does not bend when lifted, unlike similar products from outside the myrmecological industry.

Partitions (locks) in the amount of 2 pieces divide the nest area into 3 areas that can be gradually unlocked as the colony develops.

 In this formicarium you can settle ants of the species Messor barbarus in the amount of 10 to 500 pcs.

2) Messor barbarus ant colony (Harvester ants): queen plus 10–20 workers.

3) By purchasing this set, the customer receives for free: decor items to natural, sand, seeds for ants.

Additional information:

You will also put a test tube in our formicarium (into the arena), you will not shake the ants out of the test tube, but you will let them peacefully resettle in the nest.

A watering part of the formicarium will provide the ants with access to water.

Advantages of the Spring House formicarium

1) By using partitions, the colony can expand its living space according to the size of the colony. So the formicarium will be enough for the breeder for a longer period of time.

2) The colored finishing of the nest part is unique. Not only due to the aesthetic pattern referring to the motifs of nature, but also due to the fact that the pattern on the plexiglass is printed, not glued (as in the case of other manufacturers) This means that the formicarium is more long-lived.

3) Used screws and caps are rustproof. In case of accidental contact with water, the screws will not rust.
