- If a colony is just starting, you can leave the portal connected only to the test tube for a few days — the ants will decide when to move.

- The portal can also be useful when connecting arenas or separating parts of a setup.

If your ants are ready for more space, connect the portal to a BlackAnt Nest S or Nest M. Thanks to the modular system, you can gradually expand your setup with additional arenas and connectors, building a personalized formicarium step by step.
