Basic composition:
SiO2 : 85%
Al2O3 : 5%
Fe2O3 : 3%

Diatomaceous earth (diatomite) is a natural substance of organic origin, consisting of shells of single-celled microscopic organisms living millions of years ago - phytoplankton.
Diatomaceous earth is used as an anti-caking agent.

In myrmecology, it is used as an absorbent of excess water.

We recommend using it on the bottom of the soil nest.
