Description
Nest for ant breeding - SANDWICH BIG SIZE
Technical data:
- external dimensions (with the top cover): 21 (height) x 31 cm (length)
- Thickness of the socket part - external 18 mm, internal 10 mm
- in the side walls of the formicarium there are 10 mm wide openings for connection to the arenas (blinded)
Advantages of rasing ants in a Sandwich nest
Thanks to the unusual construction of the nest, we can observe the life of ants from two sides.
Due to the use of earth filling, the ants gain conditions that are as close to natural as possible.
The possibility of using different colors of the filling (different shades of earth, gravel, absorbents, coconut mixes, vermiculite, etc.) allows you to obtain the substrate required for a given species of ants.
Sandwich is intended for breeding the following species of ants: Lasius niger, Formica lemani, Formica sanguinea, Formica cinerea, Formica fusca
Additional information
Nest is for self-filling with soil substrate (the price of the nest is without soil)
We recommend ordering 4 bags of soil.
Detailed information can be found in the instructions of use of the formicarium.
