Camponotus sanctus is an ant that can confidently be classified as one of the most beautiful.
Camponotus sanctus belongs to the group of large ants, which distinguishes them from other species. Adult individuals reach a size of about 16 mm, which makes them easy to recognize. These ants are also characterized by a dark brown to black color and their body has a smooth gloss.
To raise these ants in home conditions, you need to provide heating to the colony, preferably using a heating mat. Humidity should be between 50 and 70%, and temperature between 24 and 28 degrees Celsius. You should also provide suitable food for the ants, which consists of various ingredients. These can be feeder insects, sugar syrup, honey, etc. Avoid giving too much water, as excess moisture can lead to the development of fungi and diseases.
