The Modular BlackAnt Starter Set No. 1 is a compact yet fully functional setup designed for beginner ant keepers working with medium and large ant species. It allows you to start ant keeping safely, providing the colony with its first living space and enabling smooth connection of a test tube and future system expansion.

The set is fully compatible with all BlackAnt and AntLove modules, giving you complete freedom to expand the system in any direction.

Below the price, you can choose an optional red protective cover (the set includes a black cover as standard).

A stable and secure arena ideal for beginners. It makes feeding easy and allows comfortable observation of the colony’s first activities.

✔ Nest S – modular and perfect for young colonies
A compact nest designed for young colonies of medium and large species such as Lasius, Formica, or Messor. It works perfectly as a first nest after the test tube stage.

✔ Protective cover (black or optional red)
Reduces light exposure, limits stress, and supports stable microclimatic conditions inside the nest.

✔ External modular water feeder
A safe water source that minimises the risk of flooding and is ideal for a first arena.

✔ Ø16 mm test tube with adapter
Allows stress-free connection of the test tube to the arena or nest, supporting a natural transition between spaces.

✔ BlackAnt / AntLove modular connector
Enables full compatibility between BlackAnt and AntLove modules, ensuring flexible configuration options.
