What is Fluon for ants?
Fluon or PTFE is the best escape prevention barrier for ant-keepers. It is a milky white suspension that can be applied to any smooth surface such as glass, plastic, or metal.
How to use Fluon?
Apply the agent on a clean surface (the top surface of the formicarium or arena) with an application stick or a brush in such a way that it forms a thin layer (with movements from the bottom up, vertically). Allow it to dry completely. Humidity above 80% has a negative impact on the effectiveness of fluon. Fluon must not be foamed during its application.
How do you store a Fluon?
If the Fluon bottles are kept tightly sealed to prevent evaporation, and are turned regularly, at least every 1-2 weeks, to prevent the particles from settling, then the product should remain effective indefinitely and should not "expire." Do not keep in sub-zero temperatures.
Is Fluon toxic?
The product is non-toxic once dried.
Precautions: Keep locked up and out of reach of children. Do not eat, drink or smoke while applying the product
