Cork formicarium Brand Max for raising ants at home

Brand Max formicarium is a larger formicarium recommended for raising larger ant colonies.

The subject of the offer is the formicarium itself with a cork nest, without equipment, and without ants.

The formicarium has transparent walls, so you can observe the life of the colony from all sides. The design has been thought out so that the owner can easily keep the formicarium clean, it also provides a microclimate close to natural. By using a nest made of cork, ants can drill many corridors and chambers. The materials used to make the formicarium are harmless to ants and the environment.

Recommended in antkeeping of the following species: Lasius niger, Lasius flavus, Formica fusca, Formica lemani, Tetramorium caespitum, Camponotus.

Formicarium technical data:

Formicarium size: 32 cm*20 cm*19.5 cm

Size of the nest (cork) height 15 cm, length at the bottom 27 cm (at the top 22 cm)

Cork thickness - 1 cm

There are 2 ventilation holes in the top cover, which are covered with a ventilation plug.

In the side walls, there are blind fi 10 holes for connection to another formicarium/arena.

The functionality of the Brand Max formicarium

1) Formicarium intended for raising larger ant colonies:

Min. amount to occupy the formicarium: queen plus 400 ants.

The maximum number of ants that the formicarium can hold: the queen plus 5000 Lasius niger ants.

Thus, the formicarium is very capacious and will be enough for the ant keeper for a long time.

2) The possibility of expanding the space for ants by adding more modules to the formicarium (arenas, nests, formicarium) using the fi10 hose (tubing) and the AntCenter No1 connector

3) Possibility of additional ventilation of the formicarium, if necessary, by purchasing a cover with a 32x20 cm mesh or a plexiglass rant.

4) Formicarium is long-lived. In the event of wear of the cork, which is the natural process of breeding ants, the nest part is easy to replace.

5) Possibility to buy a red protective cover in order to darken the nest part (creating conditions like underground) while watching the life of ants.

6) The arena part is quite large. The antkeeper can arrange it according to his own aesthetic preferences.
