Heat Pack for Animal and Plant Shipping
We offer heat packs specifically designed for shipping parcels containing animals.
How does a Heat Pack work?
Once the package is unsealed, the contents react with air, generating heat. Within 5 minutes of opening, the pack begins to warm up and reaches an average temperature of 40°C after about 30 minutes. It maintains this temperature for approximately 40 hours, helping to keep the inside of the package warm. This is a single-use heat pack.
Is the Heat Pack safe?
Yes. These heat packs are optimized for live animal shipping. The maximum temperature they reach is safe and does not pose a burn risk. They consume minimal oxygen, making them safe for animals, and the by-products of the chemical reaction are completely harmless.
How to use a Heat Pack effectively:

Open the pack a few minutes before packing the parcel to allow it to begin heating.

Place the pack inside the package, away from the walls – this ensures even heat distribution and reduces heat loss.

Insulate the parcel with Styrofoam or use a Styrofoam shipping box for added thermal protection.

Attach the pack to the packing material to prevent it from moving around during transport.

Ensure the pack is not in direct contact with animal containers or boxes to avoid localized overheating.
