Description
Nest for keeping ants - Sandwich type
Technical data:
- Material: transparent glass.
- dimensions of the nest part (glass): 19x12
- dimensions of the plaster insert: 18x9.5 cm
- dimensions of the base: 21x5 cm
- in the side wall of the socket there is 1 plugged hole Ø 10 mm (e.g. for connection to the arena via a Ø 10 mm hose)
Functionality of the antnest
The antnest intended for growing dry-loving ants.
Side hole allow you to expand the nest by connecting an arena or other formicarium.
A silicone gasket on the upper edges of the socket ensures tight fit of the cover.
Possibility to observe the life of ants from 2 sides vertically.
Watering of the nest
The nest should be watered using a pipette or syringe.
Always water it in one place (not all over the nest). The ants should have access to water, but the nest should not be flooded. It is better to water less than too much (problem with evaporation). The amount of water given depends on the species of ants (dry, tropical), season, temperature.
