Brand Next Step formicarium for raising ants at home

Dimensions of the nest part (cork): ~15 cm x 8 cm x 1 cm

Formicarium dimensions: 20 cm x 20 cm x 10 cm

Holes for resettlement: the formicarium has 2 plugged holes (fi 10) in the side walls, that enable the connection of a tubing for resettlement.

There are 2 aluminum angles and a ventilation hole in the glass cover.

The set includes a ventilation plug (upper).The ventilation plug in the lid provides air supply.

There are plugs in the side walls.

Description of the ant terrarium:

This formicarium is recommended for raising the following species of ants: Lasius niger, Lasius flavus, Formica fusca, Formica lemani, Tetramorium caespitum.

The formicarium has transparent walls so you can observe the life of the colony from all sides. The design has been thought out so that the antkeeper can easily keep the formicarium clean, it also provides a microclimate close to natural. By using a nest made of cork, ants can drill many corridors and chambers. The materials used to produce the formicarium are harmless to ants and the environment. It's a nice gift for someone thirsty for the company of animals.

If the colony grows, the set can be expanded by attaching an arena or other nest by using of hose/ tubing 

The formicarium should be irrigated.

Suggested elements for self-equipping of the formicarium:

tweezers, pipette, sand, litter, decor elements (artificial or natural), dishes for feeding ants (feeder, drinker, stump for jelly, root for jelly)

Optionally:

We recommend buying an acrylic rant or a mesh cover for the formicarium - thanks to them,the antkeeper can easily ventilate the formicarium.
