Smart Ant terrarium, ant farm, formicarium for raising ants at home
The kit consists of:
- Acrylic formicarium with a plaster nest
- 3 plugs to close the irrigation of the plaster socket
- irrigation pipette

Formicarium dimensions: 14x10x9 cm
Nest dimensions: 9.5x3.5x8.5 cm
In the nest, in the side wall, there is a fi10 mm hole for the resettlement of ants.
Nest hydration:
The nest is made of plaster. In the upper cover of the formicarium there are 3 holes for watering the nest. The holes can be plugged with plugs. Depending on the season, we irrigate with approx. 3 ml of water once a week. Ants should have access to water but not be submerged.
Ant resettlement:
If the size of the test tube allows it, we place the test tube in the arena of the formicarium, the ants move to the nest. However, for the purposes of resettlement of ants, e.g. in the case of "overpopulation", we connect the hose to the nest and transfer it to another formicarium or test tube.
Formicarium ventilation:
The formicarium is ventilated mainly through a plug with a stainless steel mesh (upper cover of the formicarium)
