Formicarium Spring House II with compartments
Technical description of the ant terrarium
External dimensions of the whole: 23 * 18 cm
Arena dimensions: 16.6*7 cm*7 cm
Size of nest part: 15.5*18cm
The height of the nest chambers is 10 mm.
In the side walls of the arena there are 2 blind holes fi 10 for connecting an additional arena in case the colony grows.
The roof of the house (arena) fit tightly to the side walls and is removable.
The material used to production of the formicarium does not bend when lifted, unlike similar products from outside the myrmecological industry.
Partitions (locks) in the amount of 2 pieces divide the nest area into 3 areas that can be gradually unlocked as the colony develops.

The offer doesn't include ant colony.
In this formicarium you can settle ants of the species Messor barbarus in the amount of 10 to 500 pcs.
Additional information about ant farm:
You will also put a test tube in our formicarium (into the arena), you will not shake the ants out of the test tube, but you will let them peacefully resettle in the nest.
A watering part of the formicarium will provide the ants with access to water.
Possibility to buy a protective cover for the nest part in red colour (selection under the price)
Rising ants advice:
For those going on vacation, we recommend buying our free-standing drinking dish, which will easily fit in the arena or water in gel.
The formicarium cannot be kept exposed to the sun / windowsill!
